A Jumspstart to Second Sem!

Another chapter has already been concluded. My first semester on my sophomore year was totally a blast. There were trials that tested my perseverance especially in writing but I never give up, I strive harder instead. I also enjoyed my org life with TomasinoWeb! and totally had fun covering games of the UST Golden Shuttlers in UAAP. New friendships are, indeed, developed and will definitely last forever.

Thank you, Lord, for a wonderful semester. When things weren't falling into place, I've doubted myself but You are always there, guiding me all throughout and making me strong every day.

As new chapter is about to begin, I've listed some of my goals below for the second semester. Achieving those objectives is not going to be easy so please help me, God.

1. Better Grades!
I've had satisfying performance academically last sem. I did not expect that my grades would be better than the last two semesters I had during my freshman year. And the good thing is that it becomes my stimulus to study harder. Thank you, my professors.

2. More game covers for TomasinoWeb!
'Twas totally fun covering games for my dearest organization. I did not regret anything especially when I was assigned to my beat, UAAP badminton. Actually, badminton is my first love sport. Since I am busy lately, I've got no time to play but seeing the Thomasian athletes fight for school pride makes me want to try the sport once again.

Moreover, I want to explore different sports which makes me wish to cover those that are non-mainstream. It is my honor to expose those passionate athletes who don't receive enough recognition from the UST community but bring such glory to the University because every Tiger contributes to UST's success, not only those who are known in the mainstream. I pray that someday, all the teams will receive equal attention from the community.

3. Save money for football training next summer.
Oh yes, learning how to play football is one of my frustrations right now since I haven't got football as my last PE. I will do my best to save money, though it will be pretty hard for me. No pain, no gain! Learning how to play the sport is my desire since then but I haven't achieved it yet. It is better to be late than never.

4. Avoid worsening the minor meniscal tear on my left knee.
In relation with my football aspiration, I need to take care of my knee so that my parents would allow me to avail the training. That injury I've got in high school was worsened during my track and field PE last year. Afterwards, I've discovered that I've obtained minor meniscal tear. But I don't allow myself to be affected by that especially when I'm having my PE because I know my limitations, I know when to continue and when to stop.

5. Read the books I have to.
Oh well, unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish the books that I need to read. I am looking forward that I'll read all of them very real soon because I know in myself that they are essential in my future career.

6. Lessen cramming of works.
P-R-O-C-A-S-T-I-N-A-T-I-O-N! It is one of the the things that I must definitely avoid. I do not know how but I must learn how to manage my time very well.

7. Go home more frequently.
My parents were kinda upset of me when I wasn't able to go home weekly for the past few months. Once again, time management would be the great solution for this problem. I also need to adjust my time table with the game schedules of UAAP. It is just a matter of balancing stuffs and everything.

8. More time catching up with friends and orgmates!
Since it is second sem, I need more bonding moments with orgmates who will graduate in March. I need to seize every moment with them. I do not want to regret anything for not doing this or that.

And to my high school friends especially to the Pioneers, can we meet real soon? Let's hang out, please. We really need more time catching up with each other because I miss all of you.

This is my short bucket list of priorities for second semester. Hopefully, I can make all of these possible during the five months of the second semester. Leggo!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. ~Philippians 4:13
